5 Amazing landscapes I've been to...

October 1, 2017

These are some of the sceneries that filled a little place in my heart... They gave me those good and full-filling memories! There are so many beautiful and amazing places in the world. It's kind of hard to make a choice of "best Landscape".  So I didn't! These 5 places are definitely a must go... These were the first to slip my mind...

So from 5 to 1... These places are some of the ones that are special for me...

5. Belle-Île-en-Mer

In the South of Morbihan, in 15km of Quiberon, Belle-Île-en-Mer is the second of the big islands of the Atlantic facade, after Oléron. Its climate soft and brightened up in fact a destination very appreciated by the amateurs of natural sites and by flora and fauna protected, of pedestrian and cycle ride, water sports and the well-being. Several hotels, campsites, guest houses, rents, residences and vacation villages welcome you all year long, for long or short stays, professional or personal events there. And, you will not be the only artist over there...

4. The Canary Islands

The Canaries... If I have to choose I would go back to Gran Canaria but also Tenerife has a special place in my all-time experiences... So I just wrote 'Canary Islands' 😋 The main islands are (from largest to smallest) Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. The archipelago also includes a number of islands and islets: La Graciosa, Alegranza, Isla de Lobos, Montaña Clara, Roque del Oeste and Roque del Este. In ancient times, the island chain was often referred to as "the Fortunate Isles". The Canary Islands are the most southerly region of Spain and the largest and most populated archipelago of the Macaronesia region.

3. Azores

The Autonomous Region of the Azores are just breathtaking!!! It will leave you in awe... The landscape is actually insanely green in different shades with hills, meadows and lush vegetation as the most striking features. The craters from several volcanos are now occupied by wow-inspiring blue lakes and lagoons creating quite eye-catching contrasts. The super black igneous volcanic rock makes up all the coastline. Finally some spots of whitehere and there from the numerous Frisian cows (they compete with humans for the most populous animal in the islands). Just go... It is a recommendation!

2. Home sweet home: "Sint-Idesbald"

Okay, a little bit puffed -up from my side but I really have to confirm that this place has his magic... It is my hometown, situated at the Belgian Coastline.

1. Lago Di Braies

Yes! Lago di Braies aka Pragser Wildsee aka Lake Prags aka Lake Braies is a magical place of outstanding beauty. It is that type of place that makes you want to move into the wild and never set foot in a town again. The natural lake is emerald green at times, depending on where the sun comes from.
But, there is a but...
To be completely honest... If you love to travel to see hidden gems, in off the beaten path locations, along the road less travelled, please do not visit Lago Braies in Italy. It is a place for the masses, travelling on well-trodden paths, that came here on roads that are at times utterly clogged by traffic. Anyway, for every problem, there is a solution. If I travel there and reckoning with the lights, I am there at 7am till 9am. From 9 in the morning till 6 in the evening, it is a kind of Disneyland for mass-tourism. Lets say that this magical place is a little bit the victim of its own beauty...
