The Crested Eagle

August 26, 2018

The Crested Eagle is part of my first drone footage... I always wanted to become a pilot, so in two months I am starting my course as a class-1 drone-pilot. This will give me new opportunities and will show me new perspectives. I am so excited...

About the Crested Eagle. The "Crested Eagle", a 299,7 ft. paddle steamer with 600 Britisch evacuated soldiers on board was bombed by Stuka's on 25 may 1940 during operation Dynamo and beached. 300 soldiers perished.

The other images are two other shipswrecks.

The "Devonia", a 245 ft Paddle steamer (like the "Crested Eagle"), was beached after a German air attack during Op. Dynamo in june 1940.

The "Vonette", loaded with salt, beached during a storm om 31 dec 1929. It was a three mast 31 m. wooden schooner, coming from Lisbon, bound for Gravelines.

The goal is to find two more ships when the tide is at his lowest point.

Will be continued...
